    So Good, You'll Want Two

    Car buffs and those who appreciate the 1950s era will thoroughly enjoy this book. It not only contains a wealth of photos and information about the vehicles, but it also beautifully illustrates the fashions and lifestyles of those charming years. Pure class. This book is so great, I ordered two, so I could give one to a friend.

    I love this series of books becuase there is not a more thourogh compilation of american cars by decade than this series (1930's-70;s). It covers everything by make and model and year, covers price, options, colors, engines etc. Consider this series of books like an encyclopedia of American cars. It even has photos of concept cars, utility versions (such as cabs ambulances etc) and historical context (vintage ads f the time, home prices of the time etc). I own a Hot rod shop and I do automotive design of custom vintage cars and I use these for reference almost daily. I really love the interior views of the vehicles as well. At roughly $6.00 a book on e-bay vs the orignal price of $20.00 a book how could I pass it up.

    Cars of the Fabulous 50's

    For anyone growing up in the '50s before the independent car manufacterers succumbed to Detroi'ts big three, this is your car book. Great pictures of every model of every car from 1950 through 1959. A great book for the memorobellia table at your next class reunion, or to share with age mate friends. Great written information, too. Well presented, year by year, a really heafty picture book you'll want to pick up again and again. My '50 Merc, '53 Olds, '57 Pontiac, and '59 Lark--they were all there in full color. I already bought one copy on eBay, and wanted a second just to share with folks at class reunions.

    This is a great book for anyone with an interest in cars of the 1950s. Wonderful photographs and interesting commentary make for many hours of pleasant reading.
