    Good for the price

    This planter box has pros and cons. The pros are that it is easy to put together, is lightweight, and looks very nice once put together. The con is that the 'cedar' is a cheaper sort of cedar pieces that have been glued together to make a block, and then milled into boards. You can see the glue lines in the boards if you look carefully. However, if you seal the planter box with a water-sealer, or paint it with latex paint, it will probably last for at least a couple of years, if not more. It's a wonderful bargain for the price, and it does the job nicely. One caveat: you'll want to assemble it on a flat surface, and then move it to the garden spot with two people. Although the box isn't the highest quality, I do recommend it for the price and ease of assembly.

    Don't expect high quality.

    Got this as a starter garden so I didn't expect five star quality. Assembly is relatively easy except whoever in China cut the dovetails used blades that are not sized matched. The male side of the cuts are too big forcing you to hammer the joints together risking breaking the boards. May get a couple of growing seasons out of this before it deteriorates.

    Elevated wood Box

    We stained this so it would be waterproof and it looks great! One og the corners was defected and didn't have the right grove, but used wood glue instead of sending it back. I love the smell of the wood!!!
