I don't believe the size chart is accurate. I have a Shih Tzu/Pomeranian that weighs 12lbs. I purchased a small and it's too small. The headpiece fits but the body doesn't. He can't walk easily and it can't close. He needs a medium. Otherwise I'm happy with the costume.
