It's a great sword. Beautiful brass and wood work. The sheath on the other hand is floppy loose. So I had to tighten the snaps so it fits snug. Also I don't like how it's not ambidextrous.

Too cool.
The handle is very beefy. For comfort in handling I recommend filing it down a bit where your index fingers rest. It’s very heavy. I haven’t been able to disassemble to see it’s construction yet but it feels pretty solid. It came surprisingly sharp and that point is pretty pricky. I love it. Scared to stress test it too much because it’s just so cool looking.

I got a dud. Doesn't mean they all are. It looks nice.
The blade is nice looking but when you really examine it you see that the blade is a little offset in the handle. Also the blade isn't straight. Its bent and twisted just a little to the right while the tip is bent a little to the left. It has an s-curve in it. Plus the blade is twisted a little bit clockwise if you look at it from the handle. Otherwise it is a very attractive blade. It looks like someone may have stepped on it. That could have happened anywhere before I received it. I wish I had examined it more closer before today but I didn't until you ask my opinion about it. From a distance it looks great but not under closer examination. I am sorry to have to say these things but I must be honest about it. The perfect pirate knife!
Just right! Small enough to use in close quarters, solid enough to parry larger blades as an offhand weapon, looks fearsome. The real reason I'm writing this review though is to offer my insights as a Seller, online and at Renaissance Fairs, on manufacturer's defects. They are possible with ANY product, I've had to return high-end Citadel and Hanwei products that should never have left the factory. That said though, here's my thoughts: The cutlery made in China is generally factory manufactured (excepting high-end hand-forged items) and suffers from very, very few problems. They have it down to a science. Pakistan has come a long way in last 4 or 5 years and is producing what is in general excellent products, especially the damascus - imho the best in the world at an affordable price! ... Just right! Small enough to use in close quarters, solid enough to parry larger blades as an offhand weapon, looks fearsome. The real reason I'm writing this review though is to offer my insights as a Seller, online and at Renaissance Fairs, on manufacturer's defects. I don't carry a lot of them any more, like the Viking axes, Medieval daggers and so on bc I have to inspect every single one. I've sent entire shipments back of items that either weren't inspected at the factory My advice (1) Buy from trusted Sellers that you can believe the statements they make about products they sell, and that accept 30 day returns. Ask questions! (2) Inspect an item when you receive it and any problem you can ask for an adjustment if it's minor, or return for a replacement or refund.
