I was a little concerned about the size. It was larger than the one I was using. I was looking for a butter dish with a handle on the lid. Without a handle it was hard for me to take the lid off without dropping it. It works beautifully for me, I have arthritis in my hands. The extra bonus for me was I can see how much butter is on the dish without taking the lid off. It is a keeper and I love it!

The butter dish is beautiful. It’s a little wider than any I’ve had before. The stick of butter has more room around it so it’s easier to lift and replace the lid without getting smudges of butter on it. The knob on top makes for a more secure grip. It doesn’t feel as if it’s about to slip out of my hand, even if I realize my fingers have a speck of a greasy feel. The lid doesn’t fit quite as flat in the dish as I’d like, but overall I am very happy with it.
