For me it brought me back to my youth. The old cars are great to see you can see some of the great actors in there youth. before they were great. at the opening credits they tell you who'sin each episode . and faces i recongnized but didn't know their names. great stories also.

Great value, but I didn't care for how the DVDs were packaged. They are contained in wallet style sleeves. So, I would suggest picking up some regular DVD cases before purchasing it to store the discs to prevent excessive scratching.

YAY! The entire series PLUS the bonus movie! Thank you, VEI, for finishing the job CBS/Paramount started! Only the first two seasons of CANNON were available for a long time, but the wonderful folks at VEI stepped in and gave us a wonderful DVD set including ALL the episodes from all five years, plus the bonus movie THE RETURN OF FRANK CANNON. The first three seasons were remastered by CBS/Paramount, the first two regular commercial sets, the third intended for a manufactured on demand set from CBS. They were all deleted, and then VEI came to our rescue with the whole series! The first three seasons are all top of the line remastered, except for the first half of the third season opener, which looks to be from a 16mm print. Still quite watchable. The fourth and fifth seasons are the Viacom prints, probably 16mm, not as sharp picture-wise, but decent sound. Still very, very watchable. VEI always contracts for the best prints available, so hats off to them for doing us CANNON fans another great favor. And they include THE RETURN OF FRANK CANNON from 1980. Thank you again, VEI! Cannon is one of those great classic television series classic television fans should add to their collections. William Conrad had many acting credentials during his lifetime. If you like Barnaby Jones, The Streets of San Francisco, and other 1970's classics, you do not want to miss out on Cannon.
