Definitely worth the little extra money!
I have spent a lot of money on sticks in my time playing. I hesitated with these because I didn’t want to spend quite this much on one pair. I gave them a try because I had just snapped 2 sets and vacuumed for the 100th time!! I researched a bit and found drummers to really like these. For the 30 bucks... these have been possibly the best money spent into this kit! They’re super light but surprisingly durable! They do not chip. They do not break. Just some marks on them from playing so hard and catching the cymbal edges. If you’re done vacuuming and spending 5 to 10 bucks every couple weeks on regular wooden sticks... spend the little extra money on these. I highly recommend them! I suggest You-tubing them too to see them in action... I did and that’s what made me give them a try. I have spent a lot of money on sticks in my time playing. I'm not sure why these are not more Popular ...they are more expensive but they last a long time and no more wood chips to clean up...the weight and balance feels just like wood sticks ...really no down side that i can see...buy them !!!

Ahead Maxx 5A Drum Sticks
They are slightly heavier and longer than a wood 5A. There is raised etching just passed the black grip area of the stick that keeps irritating my index finger. I needed to hold the sticks in that area for the balance to feel right to me. It will take some getting use to because of the weight and balance. On a positive note, the drums sound a little fuller with these sticks.
