Tama Tension Watch works well but be carefull
the Tama Tension Watch dial is in millimeters, but it doesn't say that, so be aware that the Drum Dial is in 1/1000's of an inch, so you will have to convert from mm to inches or visa versa when people in the US talk about what drum or banjo head tension readings you should use. Finally comes with protective case!
Finally Tama has made a nice protective case for this delicate tuner... awesome this is my 3rd tuner over 10 years period, other two broke! (my fault) either dropped stepped on because wasn't properly stored after use.. now the new TW100 can be put away after use and not broke.

Does not work well with die cast rims. It gives different readings every time you replace it.Angle,of dial makes it hard to read.
