The perfect preamp.
Everybody is after API and NEVE style preamps. It's cool. I like them too! They both have their genre of sounds and are fantastic for what they do. However, if you want a true, uncolored recording, without losing or adding anything, an ear in the studio, I believe this is the best preamp you could find. This is the real deal. A mastered piece of technology. With this in mind, it is reasonable to say that this preamp is the preamp to compare all others to. If you want to know what your API is actually doing to the sound, compare it to the Grace Design. Every studio should have at least 1. It will work on ANYTHING. It's a perfect DI for guitar and bass. And going to be fantastic on orchestra. I'll take 8 (or 32) of these for recording, w/ 2 API's and 2 Neve's for the outboard. Done.Everybody is after API and NEVE style preamps. It's cool.
