It's definitely 100% copper. Had slight discoloration, and back seemed roughed up previously as part of installation process. Possibly used? Not a huge deal.

It's well known copper can naturally patina. It can be cleaned with Brasso.
All parts supplied are new condition and never previously installed. Not possibly used, that's a poor assumption. Roughing the opposite surface aids the epoxy bond to the club. Epoxy does not stick to smooth surfaces.
