    Soar above the clouds.

This is a great book for all ages, particularly pre-teens and teen agers who may question their ability to succeed or excel at some skill. Of course, a mentor (parents) like the old seagull can play a great role in providing encouragement and direction for meeting the challenges of youth. It is an easy read loaded with metaphors that youngsters may need some help with interpretation. I bought a copy for each of my grand children and plan to read it with them.

  • Great Message to Live By

I read Jonathan Livingston Seagull back in the seventies (yes I’m dating myself) because it was a popular read at the time. Back then I thought it was a cute fictional quick read. Having just finished reading it again, I was moved by the many philosophies of life that were interwoven throughout the story. Having followed some of the messages for living in the Christian bible and the Bhagavad Gita, Richard Bach seems to integrate similar philosophies in this book.

  • A great gift for your kids

I bought this book for myself many years ago and since then have given it to my daughter and my granddaughter for it's message of being capable of doing whatever you want to achieve if you believe in yourself. Now I'm ready to relay that message on to another daughter. It may not be a family tradition, but you never know.

  • J L SEAGULL

READ THIS BOOK WAY BACK IN MY HIPPIE DAYS. MY PAPERBACK COPY BARELY SURVIVED, BACK COVER AMPUTATED. MY YOUNG SON READ IT WHEN HE WAS PROBABLY 12 YEARS OLD AND LOVED IT...WAS IT THE SPIRITUALITY OR THE INDIVIDUALITY? I DON'T KNOW, BUT HE ASKED FOR IT AGAIN RECENTLY..TURNS OUT IT WAS TO IMPRESS A LITTLE GIRL WHO WAS PAYING ATTENTION TO HIM. I DECIDED IT WAS TIME FOR HIM TO HAVE HIS OWN. THE EBAY PURCHASE WAS EXCEPTIONAL. THE PRODUCT WAS DELIVERED EXPEDITIOUSLY AND AS DESCRIBED. MY SON CAN NOW TAKE FLIGHT WHENEVER HE WANTS TOO..HE JUST BETTER NOT C**P ON ME!!

  • Excellent first edition of a 50 year old book.

Was given the original 50 years ago and wanted one for a dear friend. This was it. Thank you
