    Coin Microscopes Non-replaceable battery types.Is it a waste of money??

    The reason I chose this item was because I could change out the battery or recharge it myself. I owned one of the modern units and all of them came with rechargeable batteries, but when they would not hold a charge any longer, the microscope is dead unless you have the extended warranty. Mine lasted 10 months on the one year warranty. Took the refund and started looking for this type unit. Unless you can convert it to a electrical outlet or replace the battery you wasted your money.

    Easy to view images when focused but does not connect to a PC.

    I found it a useful tool so far as viewing samples, however I find it very sensitive to vibration and just touching it shakes the image, making it difficult to focus and impossible to get a clear photo by pushing the camera button. I thought I would overcome this problem by connecting to my PC (as advertised) but was sadly disappointed when I found the PC application program was no longer available. In the end, I was able to obtain images using my smartphone.
