    GOOD FUZZ

    Quiet pedal with a good range of adjustment. Seems to work well with OD pedal and Wah. The Octave effect works well for lead but may be too much for chords most of the time. It's been a long time since I've had a Fuzz Box but it will definitely stay on my pedal board. Sweet harmonics and sustain.

    Big Box Octafuzz(2nd Version)

    This review will be about the older big box Fulltone Octafuzz with switchable fuzz & octave modes(the second version before the current small box version). If you are a fan of Hendrix octave fuzz(as heard on the solo of Purple Haze & many other Hendrix classics), this pedal delivers that sound in spades. The pedal is based on the early '70s Tycho Brahe Octavia pedal which was lifted from Roger Mayer's original design as used by Hendrix. the head honcho of Fulltone, Mike Fuller, has recreated the iconic tone of this classic effect perfectly in the Octafuzz. I have a Mayer Octavia pedal as well and I use the Fulltone more often for this sound. The real plus with the Octafuzz is the excellent sounding fuzz only mode though.     The world of fuzz

    I've played on a lot of fuzzes just as gary clark Jr did..and when he said he found the tone..he didn't lie..i want to cry on how sweet this pedal sounds..thank you fulltone for providing a great sounding pedal that emulates pretty spot on and the build is like a tank..

    Fuzz face and Octavia Fulltone pro quality

    Fuzz began with the germanium Fuzzface Dallas Arbiter. Fulltone has this circuit and cleans it up with true bypass. Roger Mayer gave Hendrix his octave up modulator in 67. If you ever try these they are awesome but take some attention to make it useful. The Fulltone allows for dialing in just enough to create that doubling without it going "ring mod" crazy which is awesome madness but not exactly musical..Jimi put it behind his wah and fuzz face. So does this one. You really don't use this normally but this pedal let's you just fatten and leave it on. Gary Clark got this on my pedal board and it's staying. (BTW so many lesser fuzz pedals priced at 200$ makes this one a bargain even if you never use the Octavia).
