    Always on

    This thing just makes your guitar sound better. Better clarity and definition of the notes, played singly or in chords. It works when playing clean or with overdrive. It has an internal buffer that is on even when the pedal is off. I put it at the end of my chain and it cleans everything up a bit. Xotic minis are very sturdy and well made. Also it takes a battery which can be nice at times.

    Make your guitar better!

    I definitely recommend this for single coils! Humbuckers not so much. This pedal replaced my EP booster. It has has everything I love about the ep booster and none of the muddiness I disliked.
