This was actually the 2nd time I bought this album. The reason being that my 1st one was played WAY too much and skipped on the last few songs. Modern Marvel being one of my faves, I had to repurchase! I love this cd. Mos does his thing as always... it's got a little be of rock-n-roll to it too. Sunshine and Close Edge shows his talent in his flow. There is also a soul sound about this album. It doesn't quite stack up to Black on Both Sides (his 1st solo) or Blackstar (him and Talib) but it is DEF. worth a spot in any hip hop junky's collection!! I'd say almost excellent album overall, (even despite other review,) but lets just face it....we have had perfection with Black on Both Sides and Blackstar....ANYTHING compared just really wont seem to measure up!This was actually the 2nd time I bought this album.
