    Sturdy & well designed

    Great quality steel, the blade is 0.082" thick. The edge is quite sharp as received and could easily be resharpened since the blade has been properly ground on both sides (good manufacturing process is evident) The handle is easy to grip and hold onto. Firm rubber handle that doesn't slip if your hand is wet. The blade guard fits well and won't fall off when storing in your knife drawer. The size is just right, the weight is correct and the rocking/cutting action feels very natural. It's dishwasher safe! I own several of knives of this type with wooden handles and this has become my favorite. A welcome edition to my kitchen! Excellent value!

    For the price, it's okay, but it's not the best.

    For the price, it's okay, blades not very sharp at all out of the box and and I don't think it's going to hold a edge very well but I got hit to see if we would like to use a ulue and we may buy a more expensive one. Down the road

    Wonderful tool

    I was looking for an Ulu that had a thinner handle and more open. Honestly for the price I didn't expect to get much but I thought Hey why not because I kinda need one for the chopping that I am doing while I'm having dental work done. Well I have been surprised. Holds an edge and the right size.

    Best ulu I ever had

    I used a 90-degree cross-bladed chopper for many years, but it took up too much drawer space. I switched to a parallel double-bladed chopper, but it was useless. The Benchmark BMK117 Ulu is the best ever!
