These did not exactly fit a Kentucky 675 mandolin. There was no mention that there are 2 different F style tuners, gear below and gear above. They turn opposite directions, which won't affect the sound or play ability but can be a problem for mounting them on your instrument. I guess I was the only person who did not understand that there has been a running controversy in the mandolin world for 100 years about which way the strings should wind on. Grover makes both styles but doesn't mention anywhere about the history of this difference. If you want the most common type of tuners sold today you have to buy the 'Vintage" Grover 309F they are replacements for what are referred to as Gibson tuners. Also the top and bottom holes on the mounting plate did not line up with the original holes ... These did not exactly fit a Kentucky 675 mandolin. Grover tuners are simply THE best
I have installed Grover tuners on many of my guitars over the years. I have been making music since 1968 and have been pickin on stringed instruments for most of that time so I have a pretty good idea what works for keeping a stringed instrument in tune. Grover is a go to brand for me because they are simply the best. I have used this brand on many a guitar. I installed this set of Grover 309 FN F style mandolin tuners on my Washburn M3SWK F body mandolin. Amazing set of tuners for their craftsmanship and superior engineering. I had no issues installing them. YES, I did have to drill 2 new holes for the screws on just the end holes. the center 3 holes lined up perfect. This is to be expected since the original tuners are not Grover. YES you will see a couple of holes where screws used to ... I have installed Grover tuners on many of my guitars over the years. YES, they will turn backwards but that is not an issue for me. Grover makes 2 styles for the F body. YES, they look great. YES, I love them and trust them and since I play live shows, I need a stay in tune instrument. Thank you GROVER for making the best tuners on planet Earth.

Time for an upgrade
An upgrade for my Epiphone MM-50E mandolin. Machines are well built and I only had to drill several small holes to get things to line up properly. Definitely helps hold tuning better than the previous tuners. Wasn't playing this mandolin that much wasn't set up right. Took it to a local luthier who made small adjustments to get the intonation right so thought it was time to upgrade tuners. No regrets!An upgrade for my Epiphone MM-50E mandolin.
