I bought one of these units as part of a bundle through a national chain. No real complaints other than the anemic power this unit provides. The box says 165 watts - the fine print reminds you that figure is bridged mono with a 6 ohm load. In a more common setup, (7.1) driving 8 ohm Klipsch speakers, the output is lackluster at best. The lack of any preouts takes most easy fixes off the table. In my opinion, it's worth the extra dough to step up to the AVR-X3500H. More power and at least you have the option to add an amp or two if needed.

I had a Pioneer that was only two years old and but it was very difficult to adjust. Actually I did not get my speakers adjusted. The Denon was a snap. Setting up the speakers for true surround sound was simple. Read the instructions.

It came with a dent in the metal cabinet but it's not that noticeable from a distance.
