Light bar is Great/pole mount not so great
I was super excited to get this light bar and set it up after delivery to try it out. My first encounter was mounting it to the tripod that came with my purchase. The design is a pass-thru mount that uses a pressure plate to hold the GigBarFlex in place. In my opinion, not a great design! It’s cumbersome to hold the GigBarFlex while trying to tighten the knob to apply pressure to the plate against the tripod pole. Doesn’t seem very secure and my thoughts are that it will slide (if not fall) down the tripod after vibrations from the music over several hours of play. Would have thought that a cup/insert that doesn’t allow the pole to pass through would work better. Otherwise, the light show is what I expected from Chauvet! If not for the problems with the mount, I’d have given it 5 starsI was super excited to get this light bar and set it up after delivery to try it out.
