This was listed as "open box", so I called the shop to ask for more details. Someone answered the phone right away, which was a great sign, and they told me it was a new guitar that had been returned. When I got the delivery, the outer shipping box was a little beat up, but everything else was basically brand new, tags on, plastic wrap still on the fretboard. I barely had to tune it and it was ready to play. I am very happy with this purchase and the seller.

This seller (proaudiostar) was fantastic across the board! The item was listed as "open box" so the price was a great deal, but I can't for the life of me tell where the box was opened. All of parts were factory sealed in plastic and zip-tied together on cardboard panels, just like brand new. The icing on the cake was that shipping was free and very fast. Based on my experience I just ordered another "open box" item from this seller with no hesitation whatsoever.

    Better than the Prophet 06!

    Lots of fun, GREAT sound, awesome factory presets, better than the Prophet 06. If your on the edge between the Prophet 06 and the OB6. Buy the OB6, it just sounds so much better out of the box. You can of course do similar sounds, but the OB6 sounds more modern. I tend to use more aggressive sounds, and the OB6 fits right into my synth line up. I ended up selling the Prophet 06 because it just sounded so weak, helpless, and well kinda old "I mean vintage", so vintage that it was hard for me to find a use for it without first making a drum track beating on pots and pans. The FX on the OB6 are very basic, just like the Prophet 06. My personal in depth opinion of both synths are that they have a thin sound, and really need those "basic" effects to make them sound good. Not that they sound ...
