I thoroughly enjoyed the uplifting message and building strategy offered by Joel Osteen's book. The challenge of using the chapter by chapter lessons to develop a positive plan for improving your Christian lifestyle is in understanding his method of scripture presentation and applying the positive reinforcement to your daily life. Each chapter builds on the previous one to present a very compelling blueprint to use scripture, prayer and meditation as the foundation for a positive, focused, and rewarding existence. I have since purchased several additional copies as gifts. Well done!

Joel Olsteen has a way of making the bible seem so simple. He breaks down the word of God so even a child would get it. Each page in this book has a few scriptures with beautiful pictures and a topic which makes the scripture relevant to everyday life. A great way to read and learn the bible without feeling like you are doing a bible study. Full of positive tools to turn around stinkin thinkin. I would recommend this book to everyone.
Great words of encourgement for each day. It was amazing how the readings seemed to apply to to difficult times I was facing. I was blessed and encouraged to continue on and claim hope that God's Word offers for each of us. I have read several other devotion books, but this one is at the top of the list for me. It is easy to read and the related life illustrations give you hope for your personal situations.
I ordered this book as a present for a friend in mental pain. It helped my husband and I when we were going through some health problems and I knew she would enjoy it. The messages are short and easy to read, all positive and uplifting. This review is only for the book, not the ebayer. The ebayer didn't send the book and I had to purchase it at a book store.
I haven't started this book yet but as soon as I do I know I am going to love it.
