I purchase a large, domed, clay pot at a thrift shop and knew they needed special handling and cleaning. This bokk was informative in that regard. I plan to use it for bread baking. The recipes are international, not standard Ameriican, but there were plenty of good loooking things in there.

personally i like books that are a bit bigger--easier for me to use--never -the-less this books content allows me to overlook the small size(comparative)--it covers recipes from several countries and goes back to basic info on using and caring for clay pots for novices to this type of cooking--like me--i cook with a variety of pans but have yet to try clay pot cooking where you soak the pan first, etc. nice pictures and easy to follow but succulent sounding.i bought it because i just purchased a clay pan off e-bay--it is an ancient way to cook so i wanted to go back in time.
I bought this book because I was looking for a clay pot cookbook. I bought the wrong one, but the book I received has some really good recipes. I recommend it to all who use a clay pot cooker.

This was my first recipe book re: cooking with clay pots. I recently decided to change my dietary intake to more healthy choices. My nutritionist felt clay pot cooking was an excellent choice. So I ordered a recipe book. I have found this book to be very helpful, with great instructions and wonderfully, simple recipes. I am not a person that likes cooking and fancy preparation. This is a wonderful set of recipes for one such as me. I am sure if you DO LIKE fancy cooking, you would also enjoy these simple recipes and you could add your own touches.
