This turntable is amazing. Elegant design, great engineering, easy to use and the sound is top quality. Reminds me of the manual Acoustic Research turntable I owned in the 70s. Buy it. You'll like it.

For the price this turntable really sounds mellow, no hum or rumble if placed well. Not a turntable you can just put on a record and let it go. You have to be careful not to touch the belt or you will knock it off. The tonearm must be returned manually. The lack of bells and whistles is what appealed to me in the purchase. I have enjoyed several hours of play on it. I think they could make the base heavier and keep the price the same.

Not only is this an excellent value for the price, if you so choose you can easily upgrade the platter, tone arm, and stylus making this as good or better than the carbon version. For an entry level turntable this is very hard to compete with.

Being a "true" audiophile for over 40 years now I read lots of reviews on the Pro-Ject Primary turntable. A true audiophile quality turntable from a reputable hi-end company. As Pro-Ject makes turntables way north of a grand and some over 10 grand. Being that this model was originally designed for an entry level turntable I didn't expect much. But for $200 bucks it's an absolute no brainer. I've owned much more expensive turntables than this over the years. I'm also a Klipsch fan and have owned many different models of Klipsch speakers. That said, since my current speakers are a pair of RF-7ii's, I saw that Klipsch was offering a turntable/speaker system but all I was interested in was the Pro-Ject turntable with the Klipsch logo, as the gold Klipsch logo on the black Pro-Ject turntable makes for a very sexy look! It will easily work well with most AVR's today as long as your AVR has a phono input. Took me about 15 minutes and I was up and rolling. I could go on and on about the audio quality of this turntable but I can say this with absolute certainty. You will not find a turntable with this quality audio without spending well over a grand. I'm very excited to add a turntable back into my system. Look no further. Just buy it (while you still can)! You will love it!Read full review

Very nice turntable, rca cords could be longer and it would be nice if it retracted back when done playing but I guess you have to stay close by when playing a record
