The Car is a great fun movie to watch.
The car itself is actually a 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III modified by George Barris.
The same guy that made the T.V. show Bat-mobile out of, you guessed it, a Lincoln Continental.
The engine in The Car was 460 cubic inches and the distinctive horn was a Grover 1700-1748 air horn.
Listen closely and you will hear the horn blow a - Di Dah Dah Dit - which is Morse code for "X".
