This is a good GPU, definitely delivers the performance boost I was expecting over my old GTX 1070. Fans can be heard when the GPU is working hard to drive my VR rig, but that is more than compensated for the the excellent performance - I don't think you can get one without the other, unless one goes to liquid cooling. The fact that it's used has no impact on performance - this is a solid unit.
