    Small and quiet...

    You may have read that this grinder smaller capacity than others, this is true...I do one cup at a time so this is fine for me. I'd say no bigger than a 4 cup coffee maker's worth. It is considerably more quiet than my older grinders, though it may not be as robust of a motor. The retracting cord is pretty nice since I only need about a foot of cord in my situation. This, the low noise and the small size make it apealing for travel. The lid has a flat spot to keep it from rolling around, I discovered...not just a funtional "window". Quality of grind is what I'm used to. Time will tell whether the motor or blades last... 4-stars because the lid is impossible to clean with a "finger sweep" and the rotating bottom half that retracts the cord could have a "snugger" fit.     FRESH coffee for a change.

    Anyone who drinks coffee regularly knows that restaurant and coffee-house brew always tastes better than ground coffee from the grocery store. There are a couple of obvious reasons for this: 1) If a restaurant uses pre-ground coffee in gallon cans, it probably uses the open can completely in one day, so the coffee is always fresh. 2) If you get pre-ground coffee at the store, it probably takes weeks to use up, but it goes bitter/bad in only three or four days after being exposed to oxygen. 3) Coffee houses always use roasted beans they grind on premise. You can do the same by buying whole roasted beans at the store and grinding just before preparation. As long as you keep the bags more-or-less sealed between uses, the unground beans should stay fresh for weeks at room temperature. You ...

    not bad

    Fairly good grinder, (only use it for flax seed).The capacity is not very large but good enough for daily use. The flat part on the lid can stay upside down on table. It is not very easy to clean but not worse than most other grinders. All on all good price for a basic grinder.

    Good Basic Grinder

    This grinder is easy to use, and very easy to clean. It grinds about 5 tblsp. of beans when filled nearly to the top of the bowl. The only issue I have with it is that it never will grind all the beans evenly - i.e. when the bulk of the coffee is already as fine as desired, there are still many larger pieces in the mix. No big deal - I just add a little more in anticipation of this happening. Important to note, is that while many sellers use a "standard" sales pitch (origin unknown to me) with the statement that there are grind adjustments and callibration markings is false - there are none of either included on this grinder.
