Sticky, but doesn't 'stick'!
Ive been using 'friction tape' since I was a kid. Its great for putting a grippy surface onto a hand tool, flashlight, piece of sporting goods, or other surface. It's strengths are that it is highly self-adhesive and provides a good grippy rubberized cloth surface without being messy to handle. While Id never advocate using friction tape on a $1000 pool cue or custom fishing pole, the fact is you COULD, and it would work...well. Plus, it could be removed, and cleaned up without leaving excessive adhesive residue, unlike 'electrical tape', which seems to have literally been designed to permanently contaminate whatever you use it on! The two leading brands have always been 'Duck" and '3M' (Scotch), with no real noticeable difference between the two. It appears this has changed, and the ...
