    Quick scans with very few problems.

    Small learning curve. Has some hang ups, but works ok. Minor problem with sending paper through unit (wants to hang a little). Some problem with Black/White prints (over saturate). Could use a auto setting to determine picture quality.

    Every office should have one

    I am happy with the product. I don't understand why some people say that the software is not easy to use. Maybe it's people who are not too intuitive when using computer programs. First of all, when you scan something you must set it to document or receipt so that the software knows what to do (and this can be changed afterwards too). No, it won't always detect the price information because it is an OCR reader and the ability to 'read' information depends on the original being scanned. Just because you can see the information with your eyes doesn't mean that the computer will. And when that happens, you still have the opportunity to CHANGE anything and INPUT the right information if it is wrong or missing. A regular scanner will not do anything like that. I ...

    Overall, it's a great product!

    Neatdesk is a big improvement over the portable scanner. Version 5 is a big improvement over Version 4. The ADF is FAST, really fast; the processing of the scanned file is SLOW, really slow, but the ability to move, scan to PDF, change the file format, have costs and store names picked up, the ability to import and export to multiple formats, make it very worthwhile. I'm very hopeful, more, I'm praying, that Neat Company will soon come up with a fix to view and select more than one file, an adjustable paper guide and notice when a scanned document was not properly scanned. I'm still too scared to shred my scanned documents, but it sure is nice to have them digitalized.     Pretty Good!! Just some little issues and the cost.

    I am a stickler for detail and this scanner brought this! Purchased it a couple of days ago and started to the scan in the documents. It was pretty quick on all sizes to include long receipts and long paper documents. You can manually push the button(s) on the scanner (I preferred this) or click on the scan button in the Neatworks or Quickscan software. Nice color (I wish it was more color variations maybe piano black). Now the bad (not real bad). The software is pretty robust, however between the scanner and the software, it could not read a color background with (lets say blue) and red letters, it would reject the receipt as a "blank".     NeatReceipts helps me clean out my files, yet retain important documents.

    I bought the Neat Scanner after having seen the commercials on TV, knowing that I needed an easier way to keep my piles of receipts and documents orderly. This unit has definitely helped to get me more organized and get rid of all the papers I have to keep like bank statements, receipts, important letters, warranties and my husbands trucking documents. The only thing I would like to see changed is that Neat would offer the software for Windows operating systems without having to purchase the scanner like they do for MACs. I didn't really need the scanner but couldn't buy just the software. The software is pretty easy to learn and is accurate most of the time but I always double check each entry to verify that it has the right category & dollar amounts. It's not 100% perfect.
