My son loves to play in the sand, and kinetic sand is a fabulous way that he can still play during the winter months. Also I would recommend the inflatable tabletop sand box.

This sand smells horrible. It is also very oily so if you drop any on the floor, it will get very slippery if you have wood floors. It also does not feel good in hands like the other kinetic sand. It also tells you to wash your hands after handling it, which means there may be something toxic in it.

My children are accustomed to the fine texture of the sand. It is very smooth and malleable. The fine texture also creates an overall extraordinary sculptured shape. This sand has large rough grains that are hard on the skin and you can see the polymers as the sand separates. The sand forms large hard balls (like beach sand) that my kids would use to throw and it would then it would not fall apart. It is dangerous. I would not buy again or recommend to anyone. I am a teacher and this toy is an epic fail. Buy the normal, not beach sand.

My kids love kinetic sand and it’s way easier to clean up than play doh because it tends to not stick to anything. This seemed to be a better quality product than some of the others I’ve purchased.

My 8 year old grandson from NC loved playing with it on a recent visit to MD.
