The batwing fairing I ordered was the finished painted version, the item was well packaged and wrapped in foam wrap. When I opened the fairing there was a couple of chips in the finish around the headlight that looked like someone touched up with a black sharpie. I mount it anyway knowing the it would be a major pain to exchange. I installed on my Yamaha (07)vstar 1700. I believe 99-09 is the same fitment. The radio opening is din plus 3/4 like old gm Chrysler for the marine cover but in love wi
