    Great Petcock

A few years back I ordered and OEM petcock for my CB360. It never worked quite as well as this one has so far. The quality is felt in the gasket. It's a much smoother switch from all the way to reserve. Plus I got this one for about half the cost, though it seems like these old honda parts are becoming more and more available, and that might have something to do with it. Overall, great part, great price.

Parts are acceptable, but design lacks understanding

Of the recent wave of aftermarket 1970s Honda petcocks that are less expensive than the OEM rebuild kits have been for the past 20 years, these are acceptable replacements. However, pay close attention to the rubber washer/o-ring that is around the brass tube and plastic straw filter, inside the nut that clamps the petcock to the tank. It actually doesn't have enough space to evenly occupy the inner sanctum of the clamping nut. So pay close attention to the installation process so as not to destroy this seal. On a positive note, the K&L petcock has a much closer to OEM fuel flow rate than the other non-K&L version which is very restrictive with the fuel flow. Very important for CB350/CB450/CB500 vintage motorcycle racing.

  • Very nice fuel petcock for 70's Honda CB/CL450's

Old corroded petcocks are responsible for more carb issues on these old Hondas than you realize. Everything from one carb running, and one carb not running, to come & go 'Phantom Ghost" issues that leave you stranded, scratching your head trying to diagnose "carb issues" when it's really those old, corroded, petcocks, with plugged tubes, and fuel screens which let debris enter you carbs fuel bowls. Don't waste your time or money buying pricey Honda petcock repair kits, that NEVER fix these old corroded petcocks back to new state. These copies are just like the originals, work perfectly, and are the best $25 investments you'll ever make, and will save your sanity down the road. It will never again waste my time and money on the old originals. BTW. Take the time to completely drain and ...

  • Great buy

Great OEM quality part for far less than it costs to rebuild your current valve. For the price it makes sense to just replace it. Looks great and works just as expected
