Small and simple to use
I personally prefer the flanger sound compared to a phase shifter. I find the flanger to be more musical rather than just an effect. As usual the MXR product is a solid build, great value and quiet. It gives a subtle boost in volume which I appreciate since other pedals I've used can give an in your face boost that annoys me. Chip off the big brother
I used to own the MXR MX-117 regrettably sold it and needed a replacement but something with a smaller footprint and less features. I just needed the VH, Queen, Heart, and Extreme kind of Flanging this unit fits the bill.
