The INSIGNIA DTV Box Remote Control
I believe INSIGNIA was the very first DTV box on the market when in I believe 2004 we switched from analogue to digital tv. When the government sent out the fifty dollar coupons I believe INSIGNIA was the only DTV box available. The box was so great we bought two INSIGNIA digital tv's both twenty-six inch! This remote control I ordered is the same exact remote that came with the digital box. This is the Best Remote to use For Zenith DTT501 and insignia Boxes.
I have ordered 2 Zenith Remote Controls,Both needed 2 AAA Bateries,The Design was Flawed because when you insteted the the plus terminal spring broke,but this insignia uses only AAA Battery,Result perfect opreation every time Controls my Zenith Box Perfectly,very happy with it a real winner here

OEM replacement remote
I needed a replacement remote as my old Insignia AKB36157101 was wearing out (too many channels with nothing worth watching–LOL!)! Found the exact replacement, or rather a later version of it. It is slightly lighter in weight but exactly the same controls as its predecessor. Going forward with the review, all pro except one con: the latch for the battery access panel is the weak point and can break off if too much force is used to open the panel. If this happens to you, a small piece of masking tape will cover the panel and add a nice grip on the bottom too!
