    Nice Amp!

    Out of the box this is a good amp....Upgraded it is a very good amp....Unlike most small amps, this one shines with excellent clean headroom....For me it's best use is as a pedal platform......It has a big sound for it's size and is by far the lightest amp I have ever owned.....A huge improvement is gained by adding a Sovtek LPS tube to the V1 position. ....It gives the amp a very Fender type sound....If you intend to play out with it, a total retube may be helpful and a speaker upgrade to a higher output speaker will increase volume significantly as well as quality of sound & usable headroom ....Expect to spend an extra $120 or so if you go this route....Also some amps in the Cub series & LC series have a problem due to a batch of faulty thermal fuses that were installed on many of these ...
