Great desktop amplifier for space-constrained situations where you want more volume than a typical T-amp setup, and value things like Bluetooth with AptX and whatnot. Not too many products like this that take up so little desk space, offer this level of power, and connectivity. (admittedly it's still a modest level of power...) Unfortunately it's obscenely priced, the touch power button is a little fussy to turn it off (although it auto-turns-off just fine, and you do have to get used to touching it for a second to turn it on, too), and the volume knob, large tho it is, seems to have awfully large steps in its action before it adjusts volume. Great for precise adjustment but seems oddly stupid to have such a large motion for such a small step in volume.

This was an upgrade for me from the D3020, while I liked the D3020 there is a noticeable improvement in the sound quality with D3045. The main reason I upgraded was to get MQA. I am using it for a desktop system mostly streaming Tidal. I have a pair of the GoldenEar SupertSat 3's with a Definitive Technology SuperCube. I don't think I couldn't be happier with it.

To get your moneys worth you need good speakers. This little amp packs a lot of punch and outstanding clarity. I am driving vintage 3 ways with 2 8” woofers and and external subwoofer. Even the subwoofer sounds better. The presence of all instruments will come out like you never heard before. I upgraded from the 3020 and immediately was impressed. The volume knob allows for precise adjustments and the LED volume indicator is large and bright. Bluetooth works excellent. Remote works excellent. Not sure if there is a better amp for the money.
