    MXR Super Comp

    I really like this pedal. Built like a tank. Easy to use, very quiet and sonically great. The controls work well and with a little experimenting it's pretty easy to find the sound you're looking for!

    They do mean Super.

    While this pedal is in no way the caliber of a vintage Dyna Comp, it's still very functional and useful. The compression is less subtle than I've heard on other compressors and you can really squish things up big time. That said, it's very easy to over do it with this one and dialing in the right amount of pressure can take some finesse. Once you got it, the SuperComp sounds great and operates as quiet as any compressor I've played. I recently bought a MXR "Custom Comp" and returned it because it was too noisy. This pedal is significantly more quiet. As will all the MXR stuff it's built like a tank too! A very good pedal for the money.

    Makes all your string ring true and helps make everything even. Works great for Bass and Guitar. Don’t forget to add in a noise gate to your effects chain as well.
