Great for DCC ready locomotives with 8 pin sockets.
If the local you are installing this on has the 8 pin socket for conversion to DCC, this is an easy install. It is just a matter of removing the shorting plug, and plugging in the decoder. If the travel direction is backwards, remove it and rotate 180 degrees.

Small footprint DCC Decoder
if you need a simple 8 pin decoder with a real small footprint this is your solution. It is 11/16" square and about 1/8" thick not counting the pins. As usual it is hard to go wrong with Soundtraxx.
