Used this surround dope for my old Altec woofers whose cloth surrounds have dried out and dope all flaked off. Same texture, viscosity (by touch) as the original. Not always always on eBay by this seller, but patience paid off. Going to give the 604-8G’s one more coat.

Thanks for the kind words. The raw material is difficult to get, and making the Sealant is time consuming. This continues to be in high demand for many speakers other than AR which we intended this for.

This compound does an excellent job with Mitsubishi speakers with the impregnated cloth surrounds, the MS and DS series circa 1980 plus or minus. Even though it appears to migrate from the front to the back of the surround, I added additional on the back on a few of the speakers. This stuff is very volatile and rubber banding plastic across the top and making a slit for the brush helps with that. I used brushes with shorter bristles than supplied. Recommended. Greatly improved bass; very happy.
