    Ducane Lave Grate

    This grate was the proper replacement part for my grill. Ducane, now out of business, had modified its design slightly in order to sit 1/2 inch higher since my 24 year old grill was manufactured, so a small amount of grinding on the edge was necessary to allow it to fit properly. After doing that it appears to work just fine.

    OEM DUCANE BRIQUETTE GRATE

    Just what I hoped it would be: an original OEM part that is much heavier gauge SS, and hopefully a higher grade as well, than the current aftermarket replacement one from Music City Metals. My original one lasted over 10 years. I’m on my second MCM replacement in 4 years. This spring I might swap them out or I may just wait 2-3 years for the current MCM one to rust out.

    Refurnishing Ducane pedestal grill with natural gas hookup.

    fits great ,easy installation with ceramic anti flare pieces placed on top. I had to take the grill parts to get welded over the top of this, but it seems to be fine after the first use.
