The package was on time and as described. The seller was flexible, courteous, attentive, and like "Johnny on the spot" when responding to my questions. I will follow this seller and continue to seek them out first when purchasing similar products. Thanks F-4 Technologies!

  • Nice while it lasts, easy to use, high performing, inexpensive to buy

TDS380 is a DSO Tek suggested to its buyers after discontinuing the analog 400MHz 2465B. While it adds storage (2465B does not store), it has a cheaper build quality. Despite the lower build quality, they seem to last a long time. Like all scopes that employ a Li battery backed NVRAM, that IC needs to be replaced after 10-20 years, otherwise it will suffer amnesia and quit. That intervention is not an end-user's task and its cost rivals that of the basic scope, so plan for it if you decide to get one.

  • Dated but Useful

This machine is dated, circa 1995, and has a few design quirks. That said I absolutely love it. I needed a decent oscilloscope for learning electronics design. My first oscilloscope was a Digital Storage Oscilloscope, so I decided to stick with what I knew. For the uninitiated, there are two types of oscilloscopes, an analog scope and a DSO. An analog scope just sweeps the beam across the CRT and shows you immediately what is happening. A DSO looks for a wave, stores it in memory then draws it on the screen. The reason for a DSO is because it can show you things you'd miss on an analog scope. If you're looking at a 1MHz wave on an analog scope, you are going to miss any sort of glitch or issue with the wave that isn't periodic. A DSO can capture glitches. The hardcopy feature is a ...

  • This is a very good portable lightweight oscilloscope with enough bandwidth for most general purpose trouble shooting and testing.

The oscilloscope was packed well and worked good. I am very familiar with this scope because I have been using one for years at work. I wanted one for my home projects. Tektronix no longer makes an oscilloscope like this, but this scope has the bandwidth and will go the distance.

  • good enough

while less capable and slightly lower bandwidth than its four channel peers, the 500 and 600 series, these tend to be less expensive and have been more reliable as they have aged. This was well priced and in good condition.
