Excellent seller. I purchased this pen on a Saturday evening and it was delivered the following Thursday to Virginia USA, very fast international shipping with accurate tracking. While the shipping is on the expensive side the actual pen was reasonably priced, so it all shakes out. The Pilot 912 in FM is the best pen in my collection. Definitely exceeds Sailor 14k nib. The 912 truly is a cut above. Buttery smooth with excellent flow. Fits my large size hands perfectly unposted.

Words cannot accurately describe how beautiful this Maki-e fountain pen is! Obviously, its being a Pilot Heritage 91 already makes it a top-notch writing instrument: its precise, smooth & beautiful 14k nib makes it a dream to write with; its ergonomic design provides exceptional comfort in hand; all of the materials used are of the highest quality, as you can see immediatly at first glance. You couldn't ask for a nicer Fountain pen ALREADY, so adding absolutely stunning urushi art of THIS caliber takes this pen to heights unimaginable for those who don't have high-end Maki-e pens in their collection already. The first thing I noticed was how the art is astoundingly impeccable in detail, hue & overall design — It takes your breath away when you first open the box! The artist clearly has a ... The artist clearly has a passion for their craft, what with such minute intricacies & whimsical flourishes that ingeniously capture the magic of this fantastical bird in stunning detail. Even the placement of the design was well thought out: there's a natural-looking & tiny blank section in the design so that when in hand, your skin isn't pressing against the artwork itself (repeated exposure to hand-oils can damage the specialized urushi Maki-e paint, so this detail is very important, though you should always wash your hands before using a Maki-e to be extra safe as well); I also appreciate that the cap solidly fits on the barrel when posted without really touching the artwork either. The sparkly blue base allows the Phoenix to truly rise from its ashes, right off of the barrel – as it seems at least! It's so gorgeously done that you almost want to not touch it, but rather put it under glass! Honestly, this is a superb fountain pen in every way. Furthermore, the price paid is truly as astonishing as the pen itself; I paid a mere fraction of what it would/should cost, all thanks to a fair & generous seller – I have to praise them for giving everyone an opportunity to own high-class pens that are normally too steep in price for the majority of us to afford; it's a saintly gesture that is so rare these days, and I appreciate this pen all the more because I didn't have to break the bank to purchase it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you purchase one, as you cannot find beauty like this often, and definitely not for this low of cost. I'm just thoroughly impressed, as I always thought you couldn't possibly make Pilot fountain pens any better, but CLEARLY I was mistaken because this Maki-e artist turned this Heritage 91 into a stunning piece of art that heightens the Pilot experience to its pinnacle. I will cherish this fountain pen for as long as I live (God willing it be a good while yet😊)!
