    Older is better

    This is an older model blu-ray but very high quality picture and sound, Plus, I like to backup my blu-rays and the backups play flawlessly on this player without any playback interference.

    Excellent product and excellent value!

    I now own two DVD-2500BTCI transports. One is used in my theater room and the other in my living room TV setup. Picture and sound quality are outstanding, and this unit is built like a tank. Considering that it is identical to its $2,000 MSRP sibling, but does not have the un-necessary / redundant internal decoders (which are already built into most receivers), it is a steal at the current eBay prices. I paid $290 for a brand new unit and $250 for one that was barely used, and nothing else touches their performance at anywhere near these prices. Highly recommended!
