Double boxing would have been nice considering bought as brand new; product box a bit beat up from 3000 mile trip. I have used several clean boost and light dirty OD pedals in the past "always on" to push my tone just a little bit more. At 18v this pedal hands down is the best. You can leave it on "10pm on the dial " and use your volume control to find your perfect tone. Crystal clear, chimes like a bell, solo time.. turn your volume knob up to 10 and BAM! ADD a OD pedal and hold on for your life. This is a CLEAN BOOST. Perfectly clean boost of your original tone. In my opinion it doesn't change the tone but will make it louder and give you more sustain.... You will feel the difference and never turn it off... it and its FANTASTIC! ROCK ON!!! The Seymour Duncan "Hi-Def" Pickup Booster is a wonderful pedal to boost the mid-range and Gain of a Fender Stratocaster. I mainly play Les Paul's so this pedal helps my Strat fit in better with my LP's.

Great product for anyone looking for more drive from their single coils
As others have said, this pedal works as advertised. It is an excellent companion for my Tele. When I need more drive, I can crank it past 12:00 for nice punch and some good break up though my tube amp. I also usually just leave it on and dialed low (when not using any other distortion pedals), as it seems to improve the overall presence of the guitar without adding noise. The 3 way circuit select switch does provide options for the tone/treble produced, as well (deeper tone (pos 1 & 2) - moderate tone(pos 0), with no selection producing anything too bright/trebly to use). This unit is also very quiet when at idle (better than the Boss DS-1 it replaced). jlAs others have said, this pedal works as advertised. It is an excellent companion for my Tele. Great pedal and it does it well. Built like a Tank and takes abuse and still works, I can't hang on to anything without dropping it. Over 50 years playing Musical instruments and my ears still work for the sounds that I'm listening for and this pedal sounds FANTABULOUS
