  • 1930s bus with AmyJohnson banner

A bus from the early 1930s with banner commemorating the solo pilot record made by Amy Johnson. A nicely made small model in a clear plastic box within the printed cardboard outer. A collector's piece, really too small to play with as a toy. Seems very well finished and an ideal gift for anyone interested in early aviation history and the wider social benefits and popular appeal of Amy's achievement, rewarded with a CBE. Amy met Charlie Chaplin, the President of the USA and many notable players on the world stage, all accomplished by a woman from Hull, flying a British-made plane. A very talented woman.
