Explosive 80s action goodness!
I bought this for my brother one Christmas and he went insane with joy. It should be required viewing for all those who love Arnold. In it he plays John Matrix, a man who once led an elite unit of fighters, but retired to live a quiet life with his daughter. This doesn't last: an old comrade betrays Matrix and has the girl kidnapped, ordering him to kill a foreign leader in order for a would-be dictator to take over. Matrix loves his little girl, so he's got no choice: he'll go where they've told him to... but on HIS terms. They messed with the wrong ex-military dad! The R rating is completely justified. Like the other 80s films of his we love (or love to hate, depending on your tastes), it's full of violence, profanity, property damage, and more violence. If you can accept this, you're ... Arnie at his best Seriously folks, this might be the dumbest action movie ever made, I'm not joking around, it's that bad. And that's why I love it. I love everything about this movie; the kidnapped daughter, the 300 kills, the one man taking on an entire army, and the tool shed scene. This movie proved that Arnold Swarzenegger is the 2nd baddest man on the planet (Chuck Norris is obviously first). Commando rocks, not because it features a great story or amazing acting, but because it's braindead action that will actually cause your head to explode if you try too hard to think about it. This movie has all the action 80's cliche you could ask for and it is great. This is by far one of my most favorite action flicks from the '80s the story is mediocre but the action and one-liners make up for it and plus it's Arnold Schwarzenegger. I just love this film I have not seen it in a long time but I caught some stuff that just made me laugh that I did not catch before. The story is good, the action is great and the acting is good and the directing and practical effects are great. This is just a great popcorn '80s action film. If you have not seen this movie then I recommend you do. This movie is CinematasticThis movie has all the action 80's cliche you could ask for and it is great.
