Works mostly as advertised - was able to access old microcassette tapes
Although the product was stated to be tested, I did not really know whether it would work or not. I bought from this particular seller because the listing also stated that the recorder was returnable, so I figured that perhaps it was not a broken piece of junk. It did work. And I have been able to use it to determine the contents of old microcassette tapes that my father had made years ago, even some that he apparently converted from what was probably reel-to-reel back in the 1960s. One problem it has, though, is the counter does not advance. That makes it more difficult to return to a given spot. What I have done is take notes, while recording to my phone and noting the time of a given speaker / song / etc. I used Easy Voice Recorder on my phone. I did not investigate directly ... Although the product was stated to be tested, I did not really know whether it would work or not.
