Printer was exactly what I was looking for. A device for quick accurate printing of medical testing results. Handles fairly large print cartridges, and easy to replace cartridges. So far reliable. I anticipate it will continue to be as replacement printer, former printer (6988) was in hard use for over 8 years.

HP's best two-cartridge printer
Same as the more readily-available HP 6940 internally. These two models are the best two-cartridge printers HP ever made. Whisper quiet. Super fast. Great features like reduction and enlargement of image. I print many full-page color pix. Ink is expensive, of course, but this model seems relatively easy on ink. I wanted the best two-cartridge model so I could easily use remanufactured ink. Too difficult to tell which color is out on multiple units. Hard to program
The printer prints in colors just like an ink jet. If you are used to laser color printers, you will think this one prints with low resolution, but it is much cheaper than the laser. I had a hard time making the wireless printing to work. The "setup guide" lacks the right amount of details and gives bad guidance.
