As if Chuck Austen's horrific run as writer on the series was not bad enough, Marvel fires Austen and replaces him with Brian Michael Bendis, who immeadiately takes the Avengers franchise to a new level of horribleness with his "Dissassembled" storyline. Killing off beloved cast members (Vision, Ant Man, Hawkeye) and blatantly disregarding over 40 years worth of stories involving the Scarlet Witch in order to turn her into an insane female murderer who isn't even allowed time to even offer justification for her evil deeds, in terms of the way Bendis has her revealed the villain and promptly zapped into a coma. Horrible, horrible, horrible writing backed up by David Finch, who's artowrk is filled with countless errors in terms of the designs of the main characters and showing the entire storyline taking place in a bizarro world of New York which is plagued by red skies. Avoid at all costs. It's that bad.....Read full review
While to be honest, I've been reading New Avengers for awhile, but I never knew what happened with the past Avengers team that caused them to break up. So I was a bit confused about the lives of the characters and the major events that had taken place prior to this issues. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting to the characters and going through their day with them. This is a great read and it sets you up for many great story lines to come. I highly recommend it. Likes: The book was very good but then again I just love the work of Bendis. Dislikes: The fact that I hadn't picked this book up sooner.

I bought this product because it was like new so cheaper than a brand new comic. The story introduces the great Marvel crisis event.
