Rating is closer to neutral. Basket is beautiful, but pictures didn't show the damage very well. The problem is seller mailed a $150 item in a thin plastic mailer with NO padding/cushion. This should have gone in a box, especially for the fragility and value of item. I was charged $9.99 for shipping too. And I had to contact seller as 5 days passed before they mailed it. Thankfully, it arrived okay, but I would hesitate to buy from them again because of the packaging.

    Great all around amp for the money

    I've had several of these and had no issues with any of them. I've heard people say sony amps are junk but don't believe everything you hear. Just as chevy made the chevette and the corvette sony and just about all car audio brands make entry level and higher end stuff. I'm not a die hard sony car audio fan but I really like these amps. They are just about the right power to drive sepperates in the front of your ride, or subs in stereo or bridged. My brother had one driving (3) 4 ohm 12's in parallel witch is a 1.2 ohm load and never had it shut down. Had these in the back of a mustang hatchback and it would blur your vision. I've had one driving my jl 15wo's for years with no issues and sounds like way more than 280 watts. It has a high voltage/high current switch on the bottom. Although ...
