First rate Switching Power Supply
A Switching Power Supply was the only answer to my current needs:i.e.; A small, light weight, high amperage, and quiet unit. This one filled all of my criteria very well. It is as advertised and could only be improved by adding lights to the meters. My other Power Supply is a large Linear type that has the same out put but is too big and noisy for my shack. This one is the best of both worlds, it has all of the features of my big Linear Power Supply in a smaller, quieter, more usable package, plus it also has the added feature of a Back Up Battery capability. Anyone needing a small form factor Switching Power Supply would be hard pressed to find another one of this quality for the price.A Switching Power Supply was the only answer to my current needs:i.e.; A small, light weight, high amperage, and quiet unit. Great at price
After research on several Ham Radio websites I decided that the Samlex was worth a try. I am amazed. It is dead quiet, has easy to read meters although it would be nice if they were lit, handles my FTDX-3000 with no sweat. It also comes with wire ends you can use to insure a good connection to supply. Its small and takes up very little space. Great power supply
Only have 4 hrs on it, not noisy or no interference with other ham equipment. My buddy that has always used the large non switched power supplies; was impressed and wanted to plan on replacing his saving space etc.

Not crazy about the power hook up but it works. Would be nice if the meters where light up ,but otherwise very happy with it. I have no fan issues, very quiet .Price was good for me..I use it for powering my Yeasu FT847 and 2 other radios.
